An Apocalypse of Love
by Marc Mauhay
The last leaf has fallen
From the maple tree so old
So was I, totally blinded
By love that I can no longer hold
Everything for nothing
So much for love
And Zeus struck my heart
With lightning from above
Ten plagues have decided
This poor heart's fate
So did the seven bowls
That carried God's hate
Devastation, chaos
Destruction and total catastrophy
Of same meaning, all of this occuring
In a heart, only I can see.
And the story ends
With the heart blackened
An apocalypse of love
Will never leave me weakened!
