This One is Alone.
by The One That Cries
People come and go all day,
This one sees not their faces amidst the ground so gray.
Down they come as a pair,
Tears that this one cannot share.
Sound and laughter fill the air;
This one can only watch in despair.
Down it goes until it shatters,
The heart that no one thinks matters
The populace shares a bond,
Oh so happy until the new day dawned.
This one cannot see any face known
And lives day by day all alone.
Music fills the heavens with glee
Yet this one can only watch in misery.
They spend their time with gay banter;
This one licks this one’s wounds as they chatter.
This one lives with a mask so grim,
Never knowing the light growing dim.
Drops of ruby flow so free
As this one lies down at the end of the story.
