Who Shall Sing?
by Shii no Tenshi
A song lingers in my mind;
Its sorrowful melody is in my soul.
It sing of a time long past
Where all is warm and loving.
Seasons come and seasons go
Yet comfort eludes the tortured souls.
All they hear are the cries for relief
Louder, louder, louder still they scream.
Muted becomes the voice of hope;
Its sweet harmony silenced.
Who shall sing the songs of comfort?
When all suffer from the trials of life?
Is there are a bard of joy somewhere
Who shall lift the veil of depression?
Where, oh where has the light voice of happiness gone?
When all it left were sad remnants of a song?
Sing for me, companion long lost,
Of love and friendship eternal.
This slowly dying heart despairs
For the screams of pain echo through me.
